Do you plan to be buried, cremated, cryogenically frozen or something else?

Figuring out funeral arrangements is more for the living than it is for the dead. I learned this lesson the hard way, by experiencing my Grandma "let go" when she passed away. Never before have I felt something so powerful and I hope to never go through that again. I think once is enough to learn that lesson. I used to have a hard time with funerals. I used to want to see the body, even if it was in bad shape. As morbid as that sounds, I had to "see" the person, just to make sure the person was dead. After my Grandma passed and I felt every ounce of life leave her body, I realized that they are gone long before we say goodbye at the funeral. I remember my Mom wanting to have my Grandma's casket lined in pink because it was her favorite color and wanting to put her in warm clothing because she was always so cold. I remember thinking my mom was a nut. Didn't she realize Grandma wasn't even in her body anymore? Grandma couldn't feel and probably didn't care anymore. I really think your body is just a shell after you pass on. What the living want to do with it, is up to them. Whatever brings them comfort and peace, go for it. So, for the record family.....do with me what you will. I'll be watching you from somewhere giving you a thumbs-up and possibly picking on you if you decide to go gung-ho on funeral arrangements. Although, I would like a viewing for those who need it and a New Orleans style procession at my burial (if you bury me) ....but I'm just sayin'.
